WACC-Asia Region Triennial Assembly

Yogyakarta, Indonesia

May 16-20, 2011

The World Association for Christian Communication - Asia Region (WACC-AR) Executive Committee is pleased to announce that the 2011 Triennial Assembly and Pre-Assembly Seminar will be held from May 16-20, 2011 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The theme for the Pre-Assembly Seminar is “Communicating Climate Justice” and hopes to provide a space for presentations and discussions on the following: the global climate crisis, current initiatives towards solutions, and theological reflections on the issue.

Preparations are underway to make our Assembly meaningful and relevant. We are honored that Kanisius Publishing House, through Rev. Augustinus Sarwanto, graciously accepted the responsibility of being our local host for the activity.

You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the Assembly. More information on the Pre-Assembly Seminar and Triennial Assembly will be forthcoming shortly. Please visit the WACC-Asia Region site at www.waccglobal.org for updates.

Important reminder: We would like to gently remind those who have overdue membership fees to please remit to the WACC Global Office, through Mr. Tim Meadley (tm@waccglobal.org) before the Assembly.

It has been the policy of WACC that those with arrears will not receive any subsidy to attend the Assembly. Remitting your membership fees before the Assembly would help streamline the bottleneck in the registration procedure. Please help us improve Asia’s record on this.

Only Corporate Members with no arrears are given subsidy (main delegates only) of half of their airfare (official receipt needed), with maximum subsidy of US$ 400, plus board and lodging. Personal members will be provided with free accommodations. Affiliate members will have to provide for their own airfare and accommodations.

Another circular regarding program and logistics will be sent to you by the 3rd quarter of this year.

We look forward to seeing you in Yogyakarta,

With very best wishes,

Rev. Dr. Samuel Meshack Chairperson, WACC – Asia.

Ms. Maria Theresa Lauron Secretary, WACC - AR
